| Jun02 | Youth Summer Kick-Off We will begin our youth activities for the summer with a Plan-a-thon at 6 p.m. on Sunday, June 2nd in the youth center. We'l l begin with a hot dog and hamburger cookout at 6 p.m. Youth families and leaders are invited to join us. After supper, Hannah Carr and Jacob Raines will lead our planing session for the summer youth calendar with our youth, parents and leaders' help. We will be finished up around 7:30 p.m. Everyone involved in our youth ministry is invited to attend. |
| Jun02 | Youth Sunday Our youth will be leading us in worship at all 3 services on Sunday, June 2. The theme of the service is “Eye of the Storm” focusing us on God’s Peace. We need all of our youth to help us prepare for these services on Sunday nights in May. Our last rehearsal will be Saturday, June 1 at 5pm. Bradley Beals is helping us practice the music from 5-6pm in the choir room and sanctuary. Sandy Williams and Natalie Beals are leading the drama rehearsals from 6:30-7:30pm in the sanctuary any youth center. We will not meet on Mother’s Day or Memorial Day Sunday. |
| Jun02 | Graduation Luncheon We will be recognizing each of our graduating seniors at the 11:00 a.m. service on June 2nd. I would like to include their names, the high school they are graduating from and their plans after graduation in the bulletin. Please send that information to Lynn in the church office as soon as you know it. We will also be having a luncheon for the graduating seniors and their immediate families right after the 11:00 a.m. service in the fellowship hall. Please let us also know how many to expect for the meal. |
| Jun23 | WC Trip to Indianapolis Our Senior High World Changers are going to Indianapolis, Indiana on June 23-30 to repair homes of families in need. Forty senior high youth and their adult chaperones completed their training in April. There will be a parent's meeting for all participants on Sunday, June 9 at 5 p.m. in the youth center at the church. We will distribute detailed trip itineraries and fill out WC participant's forms and have them notarized. Please bring your insurance information. We will need a copy of each participant's insurance card as well. We will also need a 2013 church permission slip for each youth. Their final payment is due then as well. |
| Jul21 | MC2 Lynchburg Our middle school youth are going to MC2 at Camp Eagle Eyrie in Lynchburg, VA on July 21-26. MC2 is our state missions camp at Camp Eagle Eyrie with half day mission projects in Lynchburg and the surrounding community. Cost is $150. Want to do missions with your entire family?
